Projection and the cost of not Being present in the moment.

When we are not fully present, we project more. We need to to fill in the gaps in our perceptions to make "sense" of the world. Our senses and minds do this sort of sampling as a matter of protocol.
When we project and judge, we don't make good sense even when we like to think we do. Others will notice, consciously or otherwise. This is a moment when we don't see ourselves and others likely do. When we have erred, it is mortifying, often causing defense and doubling down behavior.
Flying monkeys make it all better. They fortify the shared fantasy that the person projecting is perceiving. They have been raised from birth to do this if they are a Golden Child. That's what makes them "golden".
But they are not perceiving, niether party. This is how you can get large groups of people collectively making absolutely no sense. 🤔
